Hello everyone,

I have been refused for a Study Permit based on the ground: 'current employment status'.
I quit my job few months ago to prep for studies. I haven't knew it is better to be employed while applying for the study permit :(
I have been offered another job while I was applying for SP, but I turned that offer down cos I thought I can get the SP and use this time wisely: prep for the school.

Anyway, my question is what are my chances to overcome that ground showing the job offer to IRCC, and explain the situation. To show that I fully in demand, and I'm not going to Canada to get some work, but do studies instead to expand my knowledge and get skills.

Your main rejection reason won't be due to employment status. There will be other factors which has made the VO doubt your application. Your reason of resignation, for prepping for your studies, has also not helped as the VO is not convinced by this.

What is the full list of rejections? You MUST concentrate on addressing those reasons (financial, course mismatch, going for a lower degree after completing a higher one etc). Order GCMS notes and see the detailed reason of rejection.

If everything else was fine, quitting from job does not cause visa rejections.
