Indian PCC vs PVC (Police Clearance vs Police Verification)

Hi,

My spouse went to her district police station in India for the Police Clearance Certificate and they gave her Police Verification Certificate. They took all details like with whom she is immigrating to other country and country name etc. As per police, its legal police document for immigration.

My question is, on cic website, for Indian living in India can apply through district police station for PCC which she did. But do this document will work for express entry? Does PCC and PVC is the same??

Best think is to get PCC from your nearest PSK as suppose to police station.

CIC just says Police Certificate. No word like clearance or verification is used.

PVC is equally valid but then you will require PVC of all places where you have stayed in last 10 yrs. Instead PCC from PSK is valid for all who have more then one address history as it will not contain any address.

I got a PCC from the Indian high commission in London. The heading says Police Clearance Certificate
