Indian PCC related query

[Vision2017]

Hello dear members,
This query is related to my spouse. She is from M.P and her passport was issued from Bhopal office. But past 2 years she is leaving in Surat (Gujarat) so I applied to Surat PSK and it was referred to local police. Local police submitted Clear report and now file is again with RPO surat and its been 15 days now. My query is does Surat RPO will send enquiry to Bhopal passport office from where passport was issued or anything else need to be done from our side now?

Thanks Smani, but its been more than 4 weeks since I filed application and also completed police verification with clear report, what next I have to do now?

Hi Vision,

I had a similar issue with my passport. My spouse had all correct details on her passport. I was earlier staying at location A(my passport had location A address) and then 4 years ago we shifted to location B(my wife had location B address on her passport). And both of us are working in Bangalore. And i knew if I hhad applied for PCC from Bangalore it may take long time. So what I did was went to surat(my hometown). Got my passport re-issued with all updated details(got my passport in 3 days, monday I applied and wednesday i got the passport with updated details). Applied for PCC immediately after i got the passport and got it done in 5 days.
