Hi,
I have a valid Canadian visa on my indian passport issues several months ago. I have already travelled once. now my indian passport expiry is less than six months(to be precise 4 months left). Can I travel from india to Canada on visitor visa? Will indian immigration authority or Canadian authority object? Or Airlines while boarding the plane?

I tried to find indian/canadian authority sources about this matter online but couldn't find anything concrete.

Can anyone suggest on this matter or share their experience? Appreciate it...

Regards
kawal

It is better to renew your passport. Some airlines will not let you board your flight with a passport that will expire within 6 months. FYI, you can still use your visa even if you renew your passport, you will just need to carry both passports. Good Luck!

thanks for the reply. I heard that clause to use your existing visa with new passport in USA. Is it same rule applies for Canadian visa? Do they allow to have the visa on previous expired passport ?

I have already answered this question above. Yes, you can use Canadian visas on expired passports. Good Luck!
