Indian passport expires just before canafian citizenship

Hi,
I just want to know my son he is minor and his passport is expiring just before 2 days from his canadian citizenship oath.
So my question is do we need to renew his indian passport?? And do we need his not expired passport during surrender of indian passport to bls???

Naa you don’t need to renew if you all are not travelling outside of Canada
Once oath is done you can receive the citizenship certificate and apply for Canadian passport
After you receive the Canadian passport you can apply to surrender the Indian citizenship and cancel the Indian passport (even if it is expired). surrendering and canceling is just one process
