So, I have a scheduled trip in Dec. Can I apply for Indian E-visa in Aug end?
How far in advance can you apply for Indian tourist e-visa?

I can get a OCI, but don't want to apply before December trip.

It allows you to select the date of arrival only a month before the travel. So you can try in November.

OCI and trip are two independent activities, they can go in parallel.
