Indian bank fixed deposit as proof of fund for visitor/super visa?

Is fixed deposit considered as proof of fund for visitor/super visa? Does this apply to senior citizen fixed deposit as well or it has to be some special kind of fixed deposit.

If the fixed deposits are in the applicants name with no restrictions on withdrawal when needed, then you can use them as proof of additional funds for a visitor visa. They can also use those deposits to prove ties to the home country.

Proof of funds is usually based on income but you can include your savings. You must be able show a decent amount of liquid assets.
