Hi there,

Well, I have made a mistake, which I have come across while completing yet ANOTHER immigration form, this time for a TRV. I sent in a sponsorship application for my wife, and gained 1st stage approval from CIC-Mississauga on July 29, 2010. It has been forwarded to Singapore visa office. I BELIEVE, that I actually added an extra '0' to her passport number on the application. I am not sure if this will effect anything - or if the application is even in process (I can't find anything on E-cas). Will this become an issue? I know it must be corrected, but will it cause problems? And.... how do I go about correcting it, I just sent an e-mail off to the visa office in Singapore, I'll be semi-surprised if I receive an e-mail back in good time. Can the Call Center help me sort this issue out?

Thanks for your time!!

Call Centre can't help with outland applications. Did you include a photocopy of her passport with the application? (It's requested in the Document checklist.) If so, I don't think it's a huge issue if you added an extra "0" to the number in the written forms. They make clerical errors themselves, all the time. In fact, when we got our CAIPS notes, I noticed that the officer has completely screwed up our telephone number when it was input into their computer and it was never corrected.

They will ask for the actual passport when they are ready to issue the Confirmation of Permanent Residence - so not like the COPR will be issued with the passport number you wrote on the application. Don't sweat it.
