Got an email from CIC, saying that I did not provide a proof of education:
"
Proof of education
o You have not provided a completed foreign education credential. Applications submitted without these mandatory documents cannot be considered complete.
You must have:
- a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree, Or
- a completed foreign credential, and
- an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by CIC. [The report must show your foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree.]"
However, the WES report I have sent clearly states that the UK Bachelor and Master Degrees are equivalent to respectively a Bachelor and Master in Canada. When submitting my WES report, I have not sent a copy of my diploma as 1) it wasn't clearly stated that I should (see p.14 of the Application Guide for Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream):
"If you have a foreign degree, submit a copy of the ECA report:
o The ECA report must be issued on or after the date IRCC designated the organization;
o The ECA report must not be more than five years old on the date that IRCC receives your Express Entry profile and your application for permanent residence; AND
o The ECA report must state that your credential is the equivalent of a Canadian Bachelor’s degree or higher."
It states that I should submit a copy of my diploma only if it was granted from an academic institution in Canada. As such, I would like to get in touch with CIC to "uncancel" my application. Could you please tell me which was would be the most efficient to get in touch with CIC? I have tried numerous times over the phone and it never went through. I'd also like to avoid losing additional time by sending them a message.
Thank you for your help!
