Income vs. Self-sufficiency?

Hi there,

I'm new to these forums but thought it was a good idea to join as my husband and I are in the process of applying under the spousal sponsorship category.

My main question is: If my husband is already self-sufficient, would I still need to make a certain amount of money in order to be accepted as a sponsor? Or would they consider that he can provide for himself?

There is no income requirement whatsoever for sponsoring a spouse. You just cannot be going through bankruptcy or be receiving welfare.
