income issue when sponsoring your spouse

Hi guys,

So for the application form IMM5481E (Sponsorship Evaluation Form) for number 3... it asks for my net income in the past 12 months. Now my issue is that currently I have a job that would be above $24,000 but the past 12 months I believe I made about $11,000. This is because I have been studying, I had different jobs and also because I was away for 3 months with my wife in Pakistan getting married and also living with her. So I answered question number 3 stating my income in the last 12 months.

Will this affect my elegibility?

Are they looking at my income in the past 12 months or my current income for eligibility?

No it won't affect it. All that they really want to know is that you are not on welfare etc.
