Include flagpoling attempt in travel history?

Hi all,

I am confused if I should include my flagpoling attempt in the travel history. I say 'attempt' because, the border officer told me to come back another time due to the long wait time. (I still had a few months on my study permit.) Eventuality I applied for my PGWP by applying online through CIC.

I checked the I-94 travel record site, it shows that I did cross the border. But I did not get a stamp on my passport or the I-94 during this attempt.

Please help.
