My partner who is soon to be sponsoring me, received a ticket for using her phone while driving(was on speaker phone) she got a ticket for a couple hundred. Does this make her not be able to sponsor me? Or is it ok?

No that won't her inadmissible for her to sponsor you. That is considered as a violation under the highway traffic act. The only way that would make her inadmissible would charges under the criminal code of Canada such as DUI or dangerous driving.

Dangerous driving? She got a ticket for distracted driving. What exactly is considered dangerous driving, like street races? lol

You can’t be a sponsor if you: were convicted of a violent or sexual offence, or an offence that caused bodily harm to a relative—or you attempted or threatened to commit any of these offences".

You really do try to make things more stressful for yourself.

DUI and dangerous driving are not considered violent offences, so they would not actually make her ineligible as a sponsor.

Oh I'm was assuming that such criminal offences would also applies for spousal sponsorship. My apologies and thank you for correcting me.
The criminal bar for sponsors is not so much about punishment for the sponsor as it is protecting the potential applicant. IRCC basically doesn't want to give someone another potential victim for their violence.
