Some weeks ago my partner (who I'm sponsoring) received an email from CIC letting her know the application was more or less approved, and they had a date to arrive by. They made it clear this still had to be finalised, and were requesting some new photos and some scans from my partner's passport. We had been dealing with the Ottawa office but these documents were to be sent to the Sydney office (we're in NZ). My understanding is the Sydney office would then mail us the final paperwork.
Also worth noting that shortly after sending these scans and photos off our status on ECAS changed to "Decision Made". Exciting!
But its been weeks now and we've yet to receive any mail or further communication. How long should we expect to wait? We're supposed to arrive by March 1st in Canada but without final paperwork we shouldn't really book our flights yet.
One concern I have is this: In that email they had our address wrong. Way wrong, too. They listed an address we lived at years ago. So when we sent the photos and passport scans over we included a note telling them of this mistake and giving the correct address. We also emailed the main CIC office in Canada to let them know, and they responded a couple weeks later letting us know that they'd updated our information.
Is it time to call and ask where this paperwork is? Is this kind of wait normal?

...Just call them and see what's up! ...I have no clue about Outland waiting times....I would call to ask if I were you! G'luck!
