The CIC website tells that "In process" ecas status means that the application has been transferred to the Local office!
any idea?
Application In Process
Your file has been sent to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office closest to your home for processing.

Hi,
Not necessarily.

My application started processing on September 13 and it showed 'in process' on ECAS.
When I called CIC last week the agent told me that my file was transferred to local office on March 27, 2014.
