In-Land Common-Law Sponsorship

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well.

So I and my wife arrived in Canada over 6 months ago where we applied for common-law sponsorship (she the Canadian).

Anyway, after a while, only SHE got a UCI and i didn't get one, is that normal? its been already 6 months since we applied and so far not much progress, IRCC asked for us to upload the police certificate which i need to do via the Canadian embassy in my country but THEY ask me for a UCI number which i dont have, so i am very confused how IRCC work.

If someone had a similar case or can please shade some light on the matter and what should i do next that would be great, thank you.

Hi! Since you are already in Canada, I am assuming you are here under TRV? If so, when you applied for a visitor visa, you should have been assigned a UCI (unique client identifier) which is what you can provide to the embassy in your country. You should be able to see it in your IRCC account or in most correspondence from IRCC. Hope that helps.
