Hello everyone,

I was reading the instruction guide for inland (5289) application, and there is a line that says:
"Leaving Canada can automatically cancel temporary resident status as a visitor, student or worker."

Does it mean that the applicant must stay even though he/she has a valid student/work permit? I am just a bit confused about this. :-X

Thank you anyone if you can reply to this question.

Pre-Assessed..
you cannot leave Canada, no guarantee of re-entry at POE.
when your study /work permit expired, you become implied status which can stay in canada legally.
you can continue to work if you hold OWP.
