Importing U.S car to Canada - International Student

I was on a F1 visa in the U.S, and recently moved to Canada for graduate studies. I brought my U.S car to Canada and I've been using it for a few months now. I do not have a permanent residence in the U.S anymore, therefore I'm thinking of importing my car and getting Canadian plates (to avoid any complications later on). Plus, my US car registration expires in another 2 months.

At the time I entered Canada I didn't get the Importation Form 1. How should I go about this? I need advice on how to import my car to Canada (I'm still on student status in Canada) and get Canadian plates and insurance?

Note: My car has been fully paid for and it's under my name.

Thank you!

Although you are a foreign student, you would probably be better off asking this question in another section of the forum (maybe Family Sponsorship?). I'm guessing there aren't that many students who have gone through this. Higher chances there are people going through family sponsorship that have had to deal with this. You can also try searching the Family Sponsorship section of the forum for discussions on importing vehicles. Anyway - that my suggestion. Unfortunately I don't know the answer.
