I have searched for recent information on this but can't find anything. We just submitted our spouse application & hope to move next summer so not for awhile but I was wondering if anyone had experience on importing firearms. Specifically a restricted but not prohibited handgun. Is it too much of a pain to bother? My husband just uses it for target practice but I don't want it to cause a huge issue going through the border.

I believe he will need an FAC first. I suspect it’s a huge pain in the A$$!

Thanks for the link! Seems like too much effort for one handgun...he isn't going to be happy!
