Importing car from US

I'm landing as a pr on January 18. My parents lease a car that is up jan 27. I'm going to buy the car what is left and then have it transferred to my name. My question is the car will be on my goods accompanying list. However will I have a problem importing the car when I move for good in July if technically the car isn't mine until 2 weeks after I landed in January?
Any help is appreciated
I don't want to buy the car if I can't bring it

You can't list something on your goods accompanying form if you don't actually own it yet. So yes - I would expect you'll have lots problems importing the car when customs sees that you purchased it a few weeks after landing.

There is a ton of legal stuff to do when importing a car . Call the province you are going to or look on line about importing a car from the U.S.

Scylla is correct, but to import a car, it has to be exported from the US and imported to Canada. The OP can do it, but will be subject to duty and taxes. The instructions are here: www.riv.ca

Thanks for the advice. Turns out my parents r going I give me the car after they pay the remaining balance in the beginning of January. Then switch the title to my name etc.
so I will own and use and possess it before I officially land in Canada on January 18.
So I should be fine then having it on my goods to follow list as long as I have the recall clearance letter etc when I bring it in??

What or who is OP?
I'm super confused I read the instructions. How do I export it to USA first is it somethig done at the border when ur Croasing in to Canada? Or do u go to the US border crossing come into US?
