Hello All

Our PR is in process since last 5 years under old system and my profession is not in the 38 list.

I am seriously planning to pursue masters program as an international student in my field of study. My problem is that I can not leave behind my wife and schooling daughter as for last 15 years we are living in a country other than our native country. It will be possible for me to show around 50,000 cad while my annual study expenses will be less than 20,000 cad.

My query is that is it possible to take my family along? OR call them later? Can my wife work? Schooling for my daughter?

Please help. Thanks for the replies.

Regards

Please search on www.cic.gc.ca under study permit section and you will find the additional proof of funding for your accompanying spouse and accompanying child.OR call them later? Yes, you can just ask them to visit you later and you leave them behind when you proceed to Canada for the first time. Can my wife work? Yes, Canada allows accompanying spouse to work under an open work permit provided you are a full time student. Schooling for my daughter? I am not familiary with schooling for dependend children, but I am sure your child can also study once you are able to prove funds for yours and your child's study.

Please help. Thanks for the replies.

Is best you apply first then they can join you later as dependant that way you prove ties in your native country
