important clarification required on birth certificate

Would appreciate any senior members sharing their thoughts on my situation. For Pakistan nationals, original birth certificate is required with the sponsorship application. My spouse's birth certificate is from a gulf country and for some reason, the name section on the certificate does not have the full name of my spouse and father's name section had first name of grandfather in addition to father's name. Upon investigating, this is actually relatively common in gulf countries on how they usually specify names. However, I'm concerned if CIC would cause any problem with it?

My questions:

1 - How important is birth certificate to the overall process?
2 - Any solution (other than updating the birth certificate)? maybe attaching an affidavit with the explanation?

I would attach an affidavit with the application.
