Important—Need Advice.

Hello,

I am sponsoring my husband from Nicaragua and have been living with him there. I am also his representative on the application.

I am planning to go to Canada for 1 month and want to know what I should do. I do not have a Canadian phone number and the phone numbers I gave to CIC are Nicaraguan numbers, which won’t work in Canada. So if they call I would not be able to answer the call.

Any suggestions on what I should do? Do you think CIC will try to call me at anytime?

Doubt they will call you. Communication is usually done online. Assume your husband will remain in Nicaragua so he can answer your phone.

You could leave a message on voicemail you are away for that period and leave a contact number they can reach you at, but I doubt they would call.
