Hi,

I've been searching the internet for hours without any answers to my issue, so now I'm hoping someone here has some info to help me.

I have been in Canada for 3 years, Initially on an IEC visa valid for 2 years, and then reapplied for another 2 year IEC but was only given a 1 year work permit because of my travel insurance purchased. I am now currently about to open up my profile for express entry as a skilled worker (just waiting on my eng results & WES equivalence for my degree) which at that point I will be under 'implied status'. My Visa ends in November, however I have just been notified that when I travel outside of Canada I lose that status and can no longer work. My baby brother is getting married Dec which is why I have already booked my flights back home, coming back to my job only days later but knowing now that I won't be able to work.. I am a little stressed. I'm also being told I can't extend my visa under IEC so I'm a little lost and stressed as to what my next step is. Does anyone have any info?

Thanks!
