Hello everyone!
My husband here on post graduate work permit. My work permit expired, I applied for an extension and I am on implied status now.
I received an email from cic to provide my husband's job offer which he doesn't have yet. I think my work permit extension will be probably refused shortly.

Can you please advise the right way to switch to visitor status as soon as possible?
Should I apply online or go flagpole?

Thank you for you help!

by the way my OWP expired on March 31, so it's been more than 90 days already. But all this time I've been waiting for their decision.
Really don't want to leave the country especially that now we are waiting to be selected from the pool for EE.
Thinking about going to the border You think it's worth it?

It's too bad you applied for a work permit extension when you did not qualify for one - that's always a bad idea. IRCC will very likely return your application as incomplete. If this happens, you will be out of status as of the expiry of your work permit (March 31st). Again, assuming that happens, it's too late to fix your status from within Canada because you will be over the 90 days. There will be nothing you can apply for online to fix your status. Your only option will be to leave Canada.

Also note that you must have valid status in Canada while applying for Express Entry. So leaving Canada is a better option than remaining in Canada without status.

Well I had no idea that I do not qualify for it, since it was an advise from one of the immigration officers at the border to do so.
Also according to this link my actual expire date will be the date when I get refusal letter and I will be able to apply for visitor within 90 days after this letter?
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/implied-status-extending-stay.html
"If the extension is refused, the applicant is considered in status until the day the decision is made on their application"
Do I understand this part right?

See the following sentence:

If the extension is rejected (incomplete), the applicant is considered in status until the temporary resident document expires.

You submitted an incomplete application, so if it is rejected as such, you will be out of status as of the expiry date of your original OWP.

Why is it incomplete if when I submitted the application there was no requirement to submit my husband's job offer?
I didn't skip any documents in check list.

You needed to look up the requirements.

If your spouse has an open work permit (e.g. post-graduation work permit), you must attach a copy of your spouse’s work permit to your application for an open work permit, along with:
  • a letter from your spouse’s current employer that confirms they work there in a NOC 0, A or B occupation, or a copy of your spouse’s employment offer or contract, and
  • a copy of your spouse’s recent pay slips.

Oh, ok. I don't remember seeing it when I applied, I was so sure it's only his OWP needed, probably missed it at some point.
Oh, well we all have to pay for our mistakes.
Does anyone know how much time they usually give you to leave the country after refusal like that?

There is no set time given. You are told to leave as soon as possible.
