My visa is due to expire on the last day of Feb, I am planning to apply for an extension regardless of my lmia result to get the implied status. By the end of April, I will have completed a year to qualify for CEC and I will be able to enter the pool. So my question is, if my extension is refused and I leave during my restoration period would I be considered inadmissible to Canada. Or should I just leave Canada right after my one year is completed and I am still on implied status.

thanks in advance for the help

If you leave during your 90 days, you would not be considered as inadmissible to Canada.
It's best if you wait till they come up with a decision on your permit extension. Stay your implied status period.

One more option that you have when you receive your refusal letter and 90 days grace period deadline is to restore your status as a visitor and stay in the country till they finish your PR application. They will issue you a 6 months visitor visa. But don't listen to me, seek more professional advice on this. Rules might have changed.

Best of luck mate,
