From today onward I'll be on implied status.
I had 2 years Masters degree. My PGWP was issued initially to the expiry date of my passport. I applied for extension March 3rd by mail. They sent my application back on April 27th because instead of 255$ I paid 155$. I paid the extra and sent my application back on the same day, i.e., April 27th.
No update from CIC and when you call them they don't take any responsibility at all (I am sure you are all familiar with bored and sometimes rude CIC agents!).
Please tell us about your story. How long were you waiting for your extension. Are you on implied status? What are your plan B's? Any ideas?
And a little eulogy
I have lived here for 4 year and have never had this much stress in my life, even growing in a politically corrupt country did not give me the kind of stress I've got during the past few months. First a very reputable tech company asks me to leave my work because apparently I am a citizen of a malicious country. And now implied status! This is not the Canada I was so happy when I just arrived. If they deny the extension for any reason, it was all for nothing coming here in search of a better life.
