Implied status - between temporary resident visa and family sponsorship

Hi - I have applied for family sponsor for my dependent child (from canada), while that application is in progress, her temporary resident visa is coming to end, should she be in implied status as her other PR application is in progress or she needs to be extend her temporary resident visa?

She does not have implied status. You need to extend her visitor status to keep her status in Canada legal.
