Implied Status and EE

I need some advice.

I was on a work permit (LMO) which expired in February 2015. I applied for a bridging work permit because I was going to apply for LMIA, but unfortunately my employer did not get all the documents ready in time, so I applied for a restoration of status. I have not received any response from CIC, so I am under implied status. In the meantime I received a positive LMIA, and I want to add that to my profile to get the 600 points. My question is, do I need to get the work permit first, or will the LMIA number be sufficient?

Secondly, if I receive ITA, would it be an issue that I don't have a clear status in Canada? (Implied status only)

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, the situation isn't clear - You said you applied to restore status - do you mean you applied for a BOWP+restoration AFTER your work permit expired in February? If so, (a) you were not eligible for a BOWP, and (b) you have not been on implied status. Both require that the new work permit application be submitted BEFORE the old work permit expires. I hope that is not the case, because that means you will have been working without authorization.

I applied for BOWP before my work permit expired, and because I hadn't heard back from them before the 90 days was up, I also applied for restoration of status, and I haven't heard back about this either. So I am on implied status.

you are still implied status, so you don't need to apply for restoration. implied status not end untill you get the decision approve or not. And the processing time of work permit now is 112 days online bowp, and 109 days paper same employer. so technically you are implied status, call cic about your application, if the processing time has passed. you are not out of status yet, so you waste your money in restoration of your application.

You are wrong, she did the correct thing applying for a new work permit and paying for restoration fees . she knows the BOWP will be refused, she has not received a decision yet BuT she applied for a work permit with a positive LMiA AFTER her previuos wp expired so she had to pay for restoration fees. She has saved herself some time .

If I was you, I'll wait to update the profile until you get the work permit, it will allow you to be selected in the next draw with arranged emplyment + work permit and you will be exempt for showing proof of funds.
In order to be considered under this provision, the conditions must be met at the time you receive the ITA. Keep in mind you will be invited to apply . Take this time to prepare all your documents, have medicals done, scan everything you need so you can submit the E-Apr as soon as you get invited.

please prove me wrong, give me a link to say that., as far as I know, restoration is to restore your status, you have to wait for refusal before you apply for restoration + work permit. other than that you are still implied status and keep working until the decision is made to your application.
