Impact of TRV refusal on Express Entry

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this. I 'm currently in Canada on a work permit and my wife's TRV had been refused couple of months back.
I intend to submit my profile for express entry as I possess enough points. My wife would be a co-application. My concern is whether her TRV refusal will have any impact on the PR application? Your inputs are appreciated.

As far as I know, no, it will not have an impact in your PR application. But make sure to mention this in your application.

The reason for the refusal is important. Many TRV's are refused for lack of ties to home country ( home ownership, spouse/children, good employment, solid travel history, etc). With a husband in Canada, it would be important to demonstrate the intention to leave Canada before the expiration of the visa was greater than the incentive to overstay with a spouse in Canada. That is all about the temporary nature of a TRV and not a negative impact on EE which intends people to remain in Canada. If the reason was related to poor health or security, then that may have impact on a PR application.

Hi Pippin i am currently in Canada and my wp is valid till May 21 but i already submitted my PR through express entry on June so waiting for the good news.Even i have submitted my BOWP on 19th January and today i submitted my TRV application,so my question is how long is the current process ing time for TRV and BOWP?But my TRV was expired already on September 2016 but i noticed last week only,and i am worrying if they will approve my TRV or not

Back in 2009 my uncle spomsored me for visit viza to canada but the application got refused as they thoufht I wont come back
But I dont have any doc or anything of it not even remember the exact words of refusal
How do I mention it in my express entry ??
