I had applied for the Express Entry and just recently got my permanent resident application to Canada refused on the basis of insufficient settlement funds. Is this refusal something that I will have to mention when applying to tourist visas to countries such as the US, Australia, etc.? I realize that some countries ask if you have had previous visa refusals and I wasn't sure if this counts as such and whether I would need to mention it. Further, will this pr application refusal have any negative impact when trying to obtain a tourist visa for other countries, particularly the US or Australia?

If any of you have any experience with the above, I'd really love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Can I check how long after AOR did you receive the rejection?

That's an interesting question.

I would suppose this would constitute an immigrant visa refusal (as opposed to a non-immigrant visa).

Maybe other members can shed more light regarding my understanding of the issue.
