Step 14 of the Country Specific Guide for Japan Spouse (IM3913E) states:
PHOTOS
Supply nine (9) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself (accompanying and non-accompanying). Photos submitted must be properly labeled at the back with the applicant's name, date of birth and signature. Follow the instructions in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
Followed with Appendix B Photo Specifications on Page 6.
These specs suggest the 9 photos are to be taken by a photographer as there are notes to the photographer in the appendix.
Can anyone tell us if these need to be done by a photographer or can the photos process through a passport machine? Are they the same dimensions as a Japanese passport photo? Also non-accompanying members of spouses family - only the bride is coming to Canada but the instructions state each member of her family(accompanying and non-accompanying) is to provide photos? Is the entire family to provide photos?
These guides are very confusing and again I am grateful for any help I find here.
Thank you.
