Hi, I am from the uk and are just starting immigration proceedings, i am hoping to go to canada with my husband and four children, can any one give me any advice? Eg: cost of medical exam, is it better to pay someone else to help with the process or is it easy enough to do things on my own. Please help xx

You can do it on your own.

Can you provide a bit more background information.

The cost charged by a DMP varies depending on where the medical is performed.

I assume that you have started reading the CIC website.

I have spoken to someone who helps you get ur visa and they are charging 1650 pound, I still have to pay for everything else that only gets us the family PR. I really need someone to bullet point things I need to do to get our visa then how to find a job and a Hme. Please help

Baloo, I am not sure the OP is a spousal case. I am suspecting she wants to apply under FSW as a nurse.

Is that right, Lynn? You should try to get things done fast because there is a quota of 500 and it is already at 178 applications since July 1st. If your job description fits as a licensed practical nurse, you could apply under their quota. They are only up to 7 now, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

Otherwise, just follow the instructions at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp and ask away if you have specific questions. What I found to be the most work for the application was putting together the job and address history since the age of 18.

You will also need a police clearance from all countries where you spent 6 months or more since age 18 and you will need to take IELTS to prove your English skills. Nothing against you, everybody has to take one these days.
