I am a U.S. citizen-- I do not understand why I was given a 30 day pass!?
I should be allowed to visit my boyfriend, now fiancé for the next 6 months, no? Why did an immigration official give me a pass usually given for people of other countries? The official told me I was lying because I only came with 100$ and asked to stay for 6 months. At first it did not make sense to him. I explained that my fiancé would finacially support me. After insisting for 2 horrid hours that I had been lying about everything, he finally questioned my fiancé s brother, who I had travelled with. After confirming my story, the official still did not believe me. I wanted to see my fiancé desperately, so i begged the merciless idiot official to talk with my fiancé s mother in Quebec. After speaking with my mother-in-law, the cruel, merciless official decided that he would give me a pass valid for just about 3 weeks, knowing that me and my fiancé intended to meet in Quebec to "happily marry". Now I have to leave in a few days, with not sufficient time to apply to extend my stay. The official told me that I would be lucky to return. I have no criminal record and visited Canada 5 years ago with my fiance for the duration of 6 months. The official was entirely disrespectful, demeaning, and unneccesarily cruel. Can I post my grievances to somewhere for somebody to read and follow-up? Should i overstay my visiting pass, being that americans are always given 6 months? I am afraid that the rcmp will deport me if I overstay...Is that possible?
