Do you know of an organisation called Solid Visa, they seem to think I qualify because of my education and work experience. They want to take on my case to help me get to Canada.
You may be eligible but doesn’t mean that you will get an invitation. Will take your money. Check to see if they are licensed with the IRCC. Ask them what program you are eligible for or what province.

I am a 52 year old person, married with three children. I live in the UK.

I have been trying to emigrate to Canada without much luck. My wife has a mother and siblings.

We both work for the local government in the United Kingdom.

Can anyone help or give advice on whether we can emigrate or our best option.

I was thinking a sponsorship undertaking maybe?

Your best option is to have your children study in Canada or work in Canada on an IEC and they may then qualify to immigrate after a year of work experience in Canada. Canada has similar issues as the UK. As someone without status in Canada you aren’t going to be offering a government job unless you have extremely specialized skills.

Hello, what is an IEC?
My son is 19 and currently in his second year at University studying Marine Biology.
Also does do you know any good employment agencies that I can register with to apply for jobs?
I appreciate everyone giving me so much information.
Kind regards

Details about the IEC program can be found below. Assuming your son holds a UK passport and is a British citizen, he can apply to participate in this program to hopefully be selected and qualify for a two year open work permit. This program is always over-subscribed (meaning there are more people who apply than spots available). Work permits are awarded through a lottery system. This program is open for those ages 18-30. This program would only allow him to come to Canada. You and the rest of your family would not be able to accompany him.

There are no good employment agencies. You'll need to find a job yourself if you want to come here on a work permit.
