Immigration to Canada

Hi all - I am a Filipino and I finally got my Canadian immigrant visa approved. I am currently living in Malta for work. My question is: can I fly directly from Malta to Canada using my immigrant visa or do I have to go back first in the Philippines and apply for the necessary 'other' requirements such as PDOS, etc. ?

1. Fly direct, Canada doesn't give a damn about the Philippines hoops that their government wants workers and immigrants to jump through.
