Guys,

I have IT background and looking for immigration to Canada. Recently, I have come across that Australia has good scope for IT people & taxes are also less.

So I am trying to have a comparison from new immigrants prospective, if immigration to Canada is good enough or Australia is better option?

I have limited info, so thought to have input from others. I come to know that IT is in good demand, so I googled for IT jobs and I can see good package for IT people on net, (I have to verify that info yet).

-Does anyone can help to compare pay-package for IT people?
-Tax comparisons of both countries?
-Old age life in both countries?
-Schooling?

Any thoughts?

1. Since there are not IT jobs on the list of "29" http://tinyurl.com/62nryc Unless you have worked/studied or have an approved Employment Option from a Canadian employer, you don't qualify. So it is a moot point.
2. Here are minimum salaries for IT jobs in BC to qualify for a work permit. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob260.asp

Thanks a lot for replying.... I have already applied and looking forward to move once process is done.
Although, "salaries for IT jobs" link is encouraging by looking at high-end salaries ;D, hope, practical experience would be similar or near to that.
