Hi guys,

I would really appreciate your help whoever can share their knowledge or experience concerning this case ! :)

I came to Montréal 2 years ago as an exchange student and did 2 years of exchange in a row (different universities). I just finished my bachelor degree and obtained diploma from my home university in France.

When I came here, I met my husband. Now I"m applying for permanent visa though him, who is a Canadian Citizen. But I just found out that in Quebec you have o apply for CSQ before you apply for permanent residence.

From what I read you can get CSQ if you are having a full time job or you are full time student in Quebec or finished your full time studies here. But I'm an exchange student and I already finished my studies. Do you know what are my options? I don't know though which category to apply ! And how long does the processing time usually takes? Thank you so much!

Sincerely,

If you are meeting the points criteria you can apply for Quebec.

Quebec process involves two stages:
First stage: CSQ(Quebec Selected certificate)—Approx. time taken for the first stage is 32 months.
