There was no place around here that had the right size cut for the pictures. We were able to get the pictures but they are uncut. Should I send them up to my sponsor who is in Canada and see if he can get them cut at some place (suggestions welcome for up there) or should I cut them myself?

I know Blacks Photography does it (in Toronto, Canada where I live), but if there isn't a place where you live that does it, it won't hurt to spend them to your sponsor and get him to get them cut to the right size.

I have the perfect size, but the corners are rounded instead of angular...does it really matter?

You can cut it yourself as long as you cut it to the dimesions that they specify on page 5 at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E33048.PDF

The photos must:
•show a full front view of the person’s head and shoulders showing full face centered in the middle of the photograph;
•have a plain white background;
•be identical (black and white or colour) produced from the same untouched negative, or exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera.
•measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown;
•have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8” x 1 3/4”) finished size.

my wife's picture, from chin to the end of head is 24mm because her head is smaller than 25mm.......but the picture has 45x35mm but are round corners...is it considered bad?? GOD NOW I AM STRESSED, WE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE IN MEDELLIN FOR THE PERFECT SIZE AND WE ONLY FOUND 1 PLACE :(

I went in to the photography place with a ruler in hand, lol. I made them redo it 2 times. They were super nice about it though. There are websites that help you to take do a passport picture your self. Try this one. http://www.epassportphoto.com/Wizard.aspx?country=CA&photo=0
