Immigration question.

Hi there,

I just have a quick question about immigration over at Pearson. I've been to Canada once and that was back in December '10, and stayed until about Feb 16th. Just under two months. I was staying with my gf and her family, and I got through immigration with no problem except I kind of had a rude officer guy who just seemed a bit tired and cranky. So basically I'm just asking is are all the officers there really cranky? I'm heading back there on the 10th of this month, and staying until Halloween. Do you think I'll have any problems with them by any chance? I'm kind of a worry wart when it comes to this kind of stuff and I don't want anything bad to happen like them not giving me access to enter and such. Am I just being a bit too paranoid? lol I'm clearly not trying to live there until I can legally in a few years or whatever. Just wanna stay there and spend time with my girlfriend who I met online. Like I mentioned above this is gonna be my 2nd time heading there.

Also I know there's a limit on how long I can stay there but I just wanna know if it's 6 months of a single year or 6 months in general. Say I go there for a month or so leave and come back to California for a month or two. Will it all reset? And I'll have a new 6 months to stay? Sorry if that's confusing lol.

....and one other thing I really don't remember the step by step thing on actually getting into Canada I just remember the actual immigration, and then going into another part (the part I'm trying to figure out what it was) then actually leaving the airport.

Sorry if this is all over the place. ???

phew...

Thanks!

Not everyone, certainly not all the time :)

Read the section on "Visiting Canada: Who is eligible" at the CIC Web site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp
Carry the sort of proof that an IO may want to see, prepare for the worst, expect the best.

It will reset, you can apply to extend your stay in Canada (you need proof of entry).

Sorry, what is the question?

Thank you Baloo! ;D

The last question wasn't really a question. I'm just trying to remember what you do after you go through the main immigration part. I forgot. :(

Also very quickly

I mentioned above that I'm staying from August 10th, to October 31st.

Will this raise any questions?

I mean I have my itinerary showing that I am leaving the country at that specific date. Just wanna be sure. My nerves are slowly calming as I'm reading some of these posts.

Like I said before I'm a worry wart. :) Been there once loved it, just wanna get through with no problems.

Well just remember that these officers are gods in their turf so keep a low key even if you are bill gates :) Won't hurt to be a little soft spoken even if they're stepping on your big toe . The officer was just probably having a real bad day.
