Immigration Photos

So how did you include the 8 immigration (passport size) in the package. This is how mine is going to look like.

1. Barcode Page
2. Immigration Photos – at the front of Barcode page in a black envelope
2. Document Checklist - Applicant
3. IMM 0008
4. IMM 5406
5. IMM 5669 + additional pages
6. IMM 5490 + additional pages

does this look good?

i kept all sections in order as they appear on the documents checklist. each piece of the application that CIC would be looking for came right after the previous thing they were looking to check off as being there. Instead of having them search through the app looking for each necessary piece. to my mind, it just lessened the chances of them losing something or overlooking something.

for our app, the immigration photos went behind the medical exam receipt and at the very end of the application. I printed out pages with the section number/title/description, as listed on the checklist, to separate each section.

at the very least, I wouldn't separate the barcode page and the documents checklist. but i don't know how much it matters either. don't overthink it. that's why i just followed the order CIC laid out themselves, seemed like the safest and simplest bet.

I am just wondering if it's okay to just keep them in the envelope that came with the photos. I am afraid of getting these lost in the package.

I put the documents in the order specified in the Document Checklist.

I also included 3 table of content pages. The first specified the Sponsor forms and no. of pages (including addendum's). Second was for Principal Applicant forms, and third was the supporting documents.

I paper clipped all of my forms and color coded them. White clips were for Sponsor forms, Green were for Principal Applicant forms and Blue were for supporting documents. I also clipped my immigration photos to my medical sheet near the end.

You should be fine, the order matters but only to make it easier for us to understand. The officer(s) will go through it all and it will not stay in the order we painstakingly crafted for long!

I basically did the same thing. purple for sponsor, green for applicant, yellow for proof of relationship. my husband smiled politely, but you could tell he thought I was crazy. all the paper clips, binder clips, post-it notes, envelopes and sub-envelopes all matched. I even bought a label maker. It was a really pretty application lol.

i kept mine in the Costco envelopes they came in. we were requested updated photos of my two stepchildren in July and we sent those away in the Costco envelopes too. we had no issues either time. we wrote names and DOB on the inside of the envelopes.

I think they expect to have pics in the envelope - they say don't glue or staple anywhere. Just loose pics. But, probably its a good idea to close the envelope securely.
