Hi,
We are planning to submit the document for Sponsorship.
My Husband is a Canadian Citizen. And I am Indian Citizen. We are married for 1 year now and I am working in USA on work permit.
My H1B Visa is valid till 2014 September, and if things go well, visa will get extended.
I also have a visiting Visa for Canada, which is valid till 2015 September

My question here is: For Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application
1. Is it possible to give the interview location in Canada, even though we are doing a outland application
2. Or else is it possible to give Newy York (hoping Visa will get extended)

You would not qualify for Canadian-location interview, since you don't hold a valid Canadian status/permit/visa for at least 1 year.

Assuming your US work visa was at least a 1-year visa, then you would qualify to request a US location for interview based on US residency, which would be NY or LA (can't recall if other options). Although the application is initially sent to CPP-Ottawa, and only transferred to NY/LA in case VO wants an interview.

A worst case scenario for you is if CIC decides they want to process your app based on your citizenship, in which case processing and any potential interview would be in New Delhi. If you don't want this option, I suggest you write a cover letter explaining exactly why you require processing/interview in Canada/USA. They should accomodate you, but just know the final choice is up to CIC.

In that case if you apply as Canadian resident, then yes I believe you can request Canadian city location for potential interview.

Not entirely sure though if CIC demands a study or work permit to request Canadian interview, vs having status via just a visitor visa. Again the final choice here to process you as Canadian resident, US resident, or Indian citizen, is up to CIC.
