Is this manual worth purchasing? Has anyone else purchased or is there equivalent information through the government immigration site?

I find the OP 2 manual particularly helpful as it is the guide the IO use to process applications. I doubt you will find anything in that manual that will help you more than this forum and the OP2, but I have not read it, so take my uninformed opinion for what it is worth! Allison

By the looks of the web site I posted it is some sort of agency and this is a money grab for them...I am NOT saying it is not legit and I am sure it has very useful information. But I think there is just as good info for free is you do a little digging and asking questions.

I am just trying to make the job for my lawyer easier by being as prepared as possible.

Oh God NO! Don't pay for what is available for free!!! It is totally a money grab and in fact, illegal to sell the property of the Canadian Government! You might have seen the disclaimers on the CIC webpages before you download forms that they are free and cannot be sold.

Allison's link gives you direct access to the manual the visa officers use for processing family class applications overseas. Give that link to your lawyer.

Thank you for clarifying this is why I wanted to ask...

The site looks very official but when you look closely the web address is not a government address and there was just a general sense that the site...while looking official...was not truly official.

I was figuring this information had to be available through the government since immigration is a daily occurance here.

Amazing what people will do for a little money !!
