Immigration in process, have visitor visa..I want to visit my Husband in Canada

My Husband is in Canada and we applied for PR in Jan 2009. In March first week, we received a letter for additional docs and its been 15 days already that we have submitted them.
But there is no further communication from the embassy.

I have a visitor visa expiring in the end of April and given that we are not sure how long the PR application processing will take in New delhi office, I want to visit my husband in Canada.

My question

1. Is it advisable to travel on this visa Or I shall apply for an extention on that visa.

2. Is it possible to go now and apply for extention from canada only.

Hi,
The standard processing time at Delhi is from 2 to 7 months. Since your processing started in january they may request your PP at any time. If it is for me I will wait for the PR. May be different opinions too from others.

We applied for PR on Dec 29th 2008. I got additional doc request on Feb 10th and the documents reached New Delhi Embassy on 16th Feb and till now i didn't get any reply from them...its been one and half months but still waiting...

and i have some doubts about applying for visiting visa..when did u apply for it and how much time did it take for the processing...i guess ur from India...
