Immigration for Software Engineer

This is my first post on this site, so please bear with me if you find this query duplicate, but PLEASE do direct me to relevant thread.

I have 7 years of work experience , Out of which 2 years is in USA and 5 years in India,
i do not have any Canada experience, so according to the official website, i might not qualify because i am not a Manager.
I do not see any option for a software engineer, Am i missing anything ?

Hi fatboy,

Software Engineer is not there currently in the 38 NOC list issued by the government. So unless you have any managerial experience NOC 0213, then you cannot qualify under that category.

No you are not. You need to have one year exp in one of the occupations listed under 38 occupations in MI and for software professionals there is only one whoch is NOC 0213 ( which is a manager's job)
