I did MBBS from Pakistan and am currently pursuing post-graduate training. I have 3 years work experience. I want to apply for canadian immigration. Can I apply for canadian immigration (as a principle applicant) with existing qualifications or do I need to pursue canadian medical licensing first.
Advise will be much appreciated.

well i doubt you will ever get licensed under our Canadian Laws sitting in Pakistan my friend.

all board exams are done within Canada.

So i am pretty sure you can apply with your current educational background obtained in Pak.

if you do get approved, you will have to go through the system in order to practice here in Canada.

cheers

Dear sunnyboy
After MBBS if you have one year of service experience either as family physician, general physician, industrial health officer or of private practice you can apply for immigration under FSW.But to practice medicine in canada you must clear their examinations plus residency.
Best of luck
