Hello can anybody please help me? I want to immigrate to Canada for the purpose of education first not work. I dont want just a study visa because as I mentioned I want to immigrate. I'm 23 years old and I'm going alone. Is it possible for one adult to immigrate on the basis of education? What are the steps that I must follow? Thank you v.much!

Hi,

Please read the website carefully. Everything you need to know (who can immigrate etc.) is there. I dont know of immigrating just for the purpose of education only. If i am wrong , maybe some of the senior members can correct me.

Cheers !!!!!

You can come here to study as international student, finish your studies. At that point you are eligible to apply for work permit. Provided you get a job related to your field you can then apply for PR.

I have read the website and in order to be qualified you need work experience or to be ready to work in a field required in Canada. Well it's difficult for me to work in my field (medicine) in canada without laborious steps. So my plan is to immigrate and continue my education in order to have a better CV and to have a resident status which will make at the same level as Canadian students when I apply for a true job in my field. Sorry if I'm complicating things but I want to know what to put in my application so that I can land in Canada with a resident to be status not a student status. Thank you PS: I don't know if my nationality matters but I'm Lebanese/polish

If you have a degree in medicine and have relevant work experience you can apply under the skilled worker class. This way you can come here as a permanent resident and then study. Otherwise you'll have to come as an international student and pay a lot of fees with limited job prospect

No - it's not possible to immigrate to Canada for the purpose of education.

If you want to study in Canada, then a study visa is your only option.

I think it would be easier for u to do the other way around, which is study in canada--->get a job in Class O,A,B--->immigrate --> become the PR--->citizen...

Since the cap for 10000 applicants for 2012 skill workers have been reached, you have to wait till July 1st to see if there is any further announcment,

Another option is to make a $CAD 800,000 investment
