IMMIGRATION FILE NUMBER

i have my client id # but don't have the immigration file number, how do i go about getting that? i would like to track my spouses application status online.

i contacted CIC and they said to email ISB...but i am wondering if ISB would provide me with that info...

is the person you are sponsoring from pakistan suppose to receive an AOR from ISB?? please let me know because my spouse has not received one and its been 5 weeks since i received the acknowledgment letter from CIC canada sayin am eligible to sponsor

I received my husband's immigration file number by mail (we're going through Buffalo). It took almost two months to receive the file number after I was approved as sponsor. Islamabad's processing times are longer than Buffalo's. So you may still have a bit of a wait ahead of you before you receive the immigration file number (just my guess).

You will get a letter, but if you have contacted your visa office via email, they will often email you information as well. This is how I got my file number.
