Another question! A Govt provided immigratiin lawyer is helping my friend in detention. Initially he said we could bail out our friend from detention by paying $1000.00 and a Canadian citizen sign some release papers as a guarantor.

However there are some repercussions in the event that our friend disappears or is not cooperating with CBSA/Immigration. What could those repercussions be?

They proably deport him by force

If your friend is released from detention on a bond with a guarantor then there will be "Terms and Conditions" and this will spell out what they have to lose if your friend fails to meet any of those terms and conditions. If he doesn't comply then they will seek a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

If and when he's caught he will then be back in the same boat but with a greatly reduced chance for release (and far fewer friends). It is likely that he'd be identified as someone in need of an escorted removal from Canada should his deportation ever come into force as an obvious flight risk.
