Hi there,
I moved to Canada for school in 2014. Graduated and was granted a work permit for two years. A year has passed since and I was just able to find a job with 35 hours per week in May (I was working part time at 24 hours per week, which according to CIC is not enough in order to apply for PR). I just need some advice on how to start the process of applying for PR before my work permit expires. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This is not true. Part-time work is accepted (assuming it is a skilled NOC), but it has to be pro-rated - meaning, you have to calculate the full-time equivalence if you work fewer than 30 hours per week.

Count the number of full weeks you worked, the number of hours worked, and divide by 30. That will give you the FTE.

For example, let's say you worked for 40 weeks @ 24 hours per week. (40*24)/30 = 32 FTE weeks.
